Come and join us for a festive evening of carol singing and live music performance at the newly renovated Granton Station Square on Waterfront Broadway (opposite Morrisons).

Free Christmas cake and mulled wine will be provided by the Scran Academy to keep us nice and warm, and performances from the Edinburgh College Ensemble and Craigroyston Community High School Choir.

Black History Month

October marks Black History Month in the UK. The event is intended to recognise the contribution and achievements of those with African or Caribbean heritage. It’s also an opportunity for people to learn more about the effects of racism and how to challenge negative stereotypes.

Parental Engagement Locality Group

New group for parents of children with Additional Support Needs in mainstream schools

We are starting a new Parental Engagement Locality Group.  This group is for the parents of children and young people with Additional Support Needs in mainstream schools.  In this group, the parents can meet with other parents and with Council / Education staff to talk about anything related to additional support needs in a mainstream setting.  Information from this group will be shared with the Council’s Consultative Committee with Parents (CCwP) (https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/parental-engagement/parent-groups/4).

The Parental Locality Engagement Group will meet four times over the school year. 

The first meeting will be on Monday the 27th of September 18:30-20:30 on MS Teams.   The link to the meeting is below.

Using the School Prayer Room During Ramadan

Did you know that we have a Prayer Room in school?  This is available for any Muslim pupils who wishes to make use of it during Ramadan. If you would like to make use of the space, particularly for Zuhr prayers, please speak to Miss Dresser and she will give you all the information you need! Please be aware that due to Covid restrictions, you must bring our own prayer mat. These can be stored securely for you.
