Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 FREE for all Edinburgh pupils & staff!
Microsoft Student & Staff Advantage is now available to all Edinburgh pupils and all learning & teaching staff. This means that all learning & teaching users can now download Microsoft Office for PC, Mac and iPad for free. All that is needed to download and activate this software is the user’s Office 365 account details. Open the flyer here for more information.

Craigroyston Wins Award!

Craigroyston Wins Award!
Our students in Media and French have won the British Academy School Languages Awards for a project based on an exchange with Lycee Voltaire. Our students have produced a collection of detective novellas and their translation and are working on a video cultural exchange. S5 students, Teachers Mr LeGall and Mr Freund were invited to the British Academy on Friday 28th November, 2014 to receive the only prize available in Scotland each year! HMIe Inspection Report

HMIe Inspection Reports Published!
The school was inspected by Her Majesty’s Inspectors of Schools in November 2014. The Inspection found the following key strengths:

  • A shared vision which focusses on securing positive destinations for all young people
  • Strong engagement of partners in the development and delivery of the curriculum
  • Coordinated and high quality support for young people and their families
  • Staff and partners leading developments to improve the quality of young people’s learning
  • Young people who are increasingly ambitious for the future

Even better are the Quality Indicator Ratings:

  • Improvement in performance: Good
  • Learners’ experience: Good
  • Meeting learning needs: Good
  • The curriculum: Very Good
  • Improvement through self evaluation: Good

The Inspectors also noted that they found innovative practice at the school in partnership working and the school’s approach to developing a curriculum that focusses on employment.  This innovative will be shared across Scotland as highly effective practice.
