Tracking/Level Changes/Estimates Information
SQA Support Materials
All senior phase pupils will receive a letter to bring home today that includes the following:
- Tracking and Monitoring Report 5
- Level Changes – Where a pupil has had to change level or be withdrawn from a course they were sitting this will be detailed here.
- Estimates – Teachers have been asked to estimate the grade a pupil is expected to get. This is based purely on the evidence (demonstrated attainment) that a teacher has available and would be used if an appeal was required where a pupil performs worse in the final exam. It is important to note that when a pupil has a low estimate grade this does not mean that the pupil is expected to fail. That a pupil is sitting the exam means that their teacher believes they will pass. Pupils should continue to work hard to prepare fully for their upcoming exams.
