The aim of the Science Faculty is to stimulate pupil’s interest in how the world around them works, from microscopic atoms to the supermassive black hole at the centre of our galaxy.
In S1 and S2 pupils study a mix of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and other Sciences based on Level 3 of Curriculum for Excellence science outcomes. In S3. Pupils choose a science to study at Level 4 to prepare for choosing a science at National 3/4/5 in S4. In S4/5/6 pupils can choose from Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to Advanced Higher and Landscape Gardening up to National 4/5.
