Dear Parents, Carers and Pupils of Craigroyston,
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and remembered to put their clocks forward!
This week we are continuing to open as a hub school for young people whose parents are key workers. This will be from 9am-3pm from Monday to Friday. We look forward to seeing these pupils who have signed up for this service.
If you have completed all your work at home and do not have access to our online resources, we will have new packs available from school. These will be at reception and can be picked up from tomorrow anytime between 12pm-3pm. You can also pick them up on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9am-3pm.
Our challenge on Friday was to try baking scones or cakes at home over the weekend! We’ve been inundated with great photos of homebaking! Well done guys! It looks like many of you have had tasty cakes over the weekend! Erin Aldridge and Miss. Aldridge made yummy blueberry muffins; Mr. Cunningham made tasty cheese scones; Ms. Linning and her son Blair made colourful fairy cakes; Ms. Stark made lovely scones and Ms. Gancheva made a fluffy banana cake! The photos look amazing – wish we’d got to taste them too!
I hope everyone is managing to find time at home to do things they wouldn’t normally do and are making the most of time together! I know there will be struggles attached to being at home all the time so if anybody needs anything or if we can help you with anything please email me at Shelley.McLaren@craigroyston.edin.sch.uk or send us a message on the Facebook page.

Take care.
Kind regards,
Mrs. McLaren
Our song of the day is ‘Will We Talk’ by Sam Fender requested by Mr. McFarlane.
Our quote of the day:
“Alone we can do little, but together we can do so much!”
Our challenge of the day is to do something kind for someone else! This might be making your neighbour a card to cheer them up, making breakfast for your big brother or doing your wee sister’s hair in a new style for them! Send us photos and comments of the kind things you’ve done!
Kindness wins every time!
Our video of the day is about togetherness and how even though this is a really tough time we have come together as families and communities!
