Dear Parents/Carers and Pupils of Craigroyston,
As you’ll probably be aware, last night both the Prime Minister and First Minister explained that they’re introducing tougher measures to fight the coronavirus. This means that whenever possible we’ve to stay in our homes with our families and only go out if absolutely necessary. I was thinking of you all when this was said. I know it will be hard for everyone but hopefully if we all do this now things will improve faster and become easier!
As mentioned yesterday, our school is going to be used as a hub for young people whose parents are key workers. I know this may affect some of you. This is likely to begin from tomorrow. We will let you know when we have more information about this.
I hope doing work at home is going well for everyone! Many of our teachers have been so impressed by how much work is being completed online and also we’ve heard great feedback from pupils who are doing all our worksheets and activities at home! Well done team! Keep up the great work!
Yesterday our ‘Challenge of the Day’ was to do thirty keepie uppies in a row! Who managed to do it?! As you know, Mr. Yardley is very competitive and here he is showing off his great skills in the video below! Thanks for this, Mr. Yardley – we’re very proud of you and we can see you’re very proud of yourself! 🙂

Feel free to message the Facebook page or email me at Shelley.McLaren@craigroyston.edin.sch.uk with any questions or requests!
Take care everyone!
Kind regards,
Mrs. McLaren
Our song of the day is ‘Good as Hell’ by Lizzo requested by Mr. Murphy!
Our quote of the day:
“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain”
Our challenge of the day is learning to make a cup of tea!
We’ve got to keep you busy when you’re not in school and making a cup of tea is a great life skill to learn! It’s something you’ll use your whole life! Demi (Mull House Captain) and Olaf (Depute Head Boy) have made two amazing videos that show you step by step how to make a great cup of tea! Send us photos of you and your family with your cups of tea once you’re done!
