Library Resource Centre

Library Resource Centre

The Learning Resource Centre is at the heart of the school both physically and educationally. It supports all pupils and staff by providing a wide range of materials in the bright spacious library.
There are over 7,000 books available for loan to pupils and staff. The stock includes fiction books across many genres for leisure reading. The Information books cover a wide range of topics, not just those taught in school but also to cater for pupil’s outside interests. So as well as books on biology, geography, art, history, mathematics etc. we also have books on motorbikes, pet care, fashion, judo and much more. If a pupil requires a book that is not in stock then the item will be found elsewhere and obtained for the reader.
The library also subscribes to a range of daily newspapers (including Polish – Tydzień Polski) and magazines such as Match and Shout.
A suite of computers is also available in the library which can be used by pupils both within lessons and outwith class time. The library is open every morning before school, at break time, lunch time and after school. A book Club is run on Thursday lunch time for S1 & S2 pupils. The Librarian Mr Linanne is on hand at all times to support pupils and staff.
