Some of our incredibly talented senior pupils have been selected to attend the free course at Leith School of Art on Friday afternoons (real cost at this private art school would have been at least £300 per pupil). This has been made possible through the four Edinburgh-based Charitable Trusts who have supported the venture: Ponton House Trust, Pleasance Trust, Inchrye Trust, and Dr Guthrie’s Association.
The course is run by two talented artists, Trevor Jones and Brigid Collins, who will guide pupils to pursue personal interests (illustration, fashion, jewellery and painting to name a few) and build up a portfolio for application to art school. Furthermore, pupils will each be given a professional artist’s case and materials they need to complete their chosen projects.
The course will culminate in an exclusive exhibition attended by some of the top artists and business people in the Scottish Creative Industries. We are incredibly proud of our pupils who have been selected for the quality of their work and dedication to Art & Design.
