Dear Parents/Carers,
Today marks the beginning of our February break. It is important our parents/carers, pupils and staff take a break from the remote learning over the next week and try and enjoy some ‘you time’. It has been a mammoth effort from the Craigroyston Community in these last few weeks and we will continue to work together in the best interest of our pupils.
We want to share the great news that Mr Donoghue (Chemistry) has just introduced his son to the world as Hamish Donoghue was born on Friday 29 January 2021. On behalf of the Craigroyston Community we are delighted for you Mr Donoghue and best wishes to your family.
Remote learning from home will continue as of Tuesday 16 February. Following messages from many of us at school, having coursing assemblies and with your support, we have been able to see more pupils engaging in their learning this week compared to the previous week. However, we want all pupils to login to their Teams on Tuesday 16 February so no one gets left behind. I am nearly finished collating all the feedback from parents/carers and staff regarding experiences of remote learning and we will use this to learn and improve.
Those youngsters who have been accessing the school building for the last few weeks will continue to do so as of Tuesday 16 February. Following the Scottish Government’s announcement on Tuesday this week, the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) continue to plan alongside staff for the part-time return for some of our pupils in the Senior Phase (S4-6) as from Monday 22 February. Once these plans have been drawn up and finalised we will share them with you. We hope to have these plans for the S4-6 pupils with you by Thursday 18 February.
Thank you for your ongoing support and my quote for this week…
‘Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, even you.’

Kind regards,
Mr Porter
Acting Headteacher
